Besnell dropped down next to Lanski, a strangled cry of distress caught in his throat. He pressed his fingers to her neck, checking the pulse, cupping her cheek in his other hand **Lanski...** he choked, relieved beyond belief that she was somehow alive. He saw Gener returning with the medkit, and looked over where Rayne was sitting. He felt an unsurmountable rage building, all of the insults and pranks had been nothing compared to this. With a feral sounding growl, he launched himself with impossible speed and tackled the mage. Before they had even hit the ground Besnell was in the process of strangling the life from Rayne.
