This was a HUGE debate the last student council "sprinter" convention last thursday. I am against weight GPAs. Colleges nowadays look more at the classes you take rather than your GPA. Although it may improve your GPA, colleges do take in consideration that you DO have a weighted GPA so sometimes they expect a higher GPA from you. I think that having a weighted GPA does not make a significant difference to the way colleges look at them. Colleges usually look at unweighted GPAs anyways.

the only way i really see it affecting other people is the ranking system. I believe that to be in the top of your class with a good GPA you should've at least taken challenging courses.
