How do the article writers validate their own thoughts and conclusions?

The article writes present in the text appropriate information about the studies. Analysis, data collection, literature review and experimental evidence and references are provided in the article to back up the points being argued.
The article "A case study on foreign English teachers’ challenges in Taiwanese elementary schools, Chen. C & Cheng. Y (2009) present a qualitative case study based on the experiences of three foreign English teachers. The study focus on highlight the need for a better preparation for foreign English-speaking teachers (who are native speakers of English) before teaching abroad, and undestand better "the multiple contexts surrounding their work, including that of the classroom, the school, and the larger society".
In orther to support the study several workshops was attended to select participants. The data was collected via different methods "including interviews, questionnaires, classroom observation, fieldnotes and researcher journal, and document inspection."
The article " Reading strategy awareness of Arabica-speaking medical students studying in English, Malcolm,Diane(2009) investigated reading strategy among Arab medical students and examined the extent of awareness about reading strategies, monitoring and evaluating their reading in orther to support the argumment that states of a variety of strategies that teachers should brought to students to raise their ability in reading and to call their awareness of reading.
Differents research tools was employed to investigate "the nature of strategic reading, including selfreports of reading such as ‘‘think aloud” protocols, interviews, logs and journals and questionnaire data based on self-ratings of strategy use." Reading strategy research was also compared to findings in previous studies using questionnaire, reported reading strategy .

In both studies analysed the writers validated their thoughts and conclusions based on previous studies and especially on the results of the methods adopted in each study.
