I found out

Papers, colloquia, poster sessions, keynote speaker presentation, forums, workshops, plenary session, speaker sessions, reception, social events, interactive sessions, seminar, exhibitions, conference calling, and web conferences are some commons types of sessions possible to take place in conferences.

Different participation can be stimulated based on the structure adopted. Forums, workshops, social events and interactive sessions normally encourage more conversations, debates and commentaries among the participants.

Others like plenary sessions, spaker sessions, and exhibitions bring all conference participants together under the theme proposed by the main presenter.

New types of virtual conferences or sessions are nowadays totally compromised with new media and technologic tools that may be useful in events as: interactive sessions, exhibitions, conference calling and web conferences. Some of theses sessions can be access trough the internet. The sessions are broadcast online to registered members and sometimes can be watched by other members of the community located anywhere in the world.

The form of languages used to communicate in conferences normally has been clear, conventional and with no deviation from the standard.
