Perhaps you have heard of me and my nationwide campaign in the cause of temperance. Each year for the past fourteen years, I have made a tour of the midwest: Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, West Virginia and Iowa delivering a series of lectures on the evils of drinking.

On this tour I have been accompanied by my young friend and assistant, Charles Hazwick. Charles, a young man from a good backround is a pathetic example of a life ruined by excessive indulgence in beer, whiskey and women.

Chales would appear with me on stage and sit on the platform staring at the audience through bleary and bloodshot eyes, sweating profusely, picking his nose, passing gas, itching his balls and making obscene jestures while I point him out as an example of what over indulgence can do to a person.

This past summer, unfortunately, Charles passed away.

A mutual friend has given me your name and e-mail address and I wonder if you would be available to take Charles place on my Summer 08 tour?
