Don't fall for Wolfe's paranoia

Make no mistake, when Scott Wolfe refers to "Shylocks of Wall Street" and "international bankers" in his Jan. 18 letter he is spewing paranoid, anti-Semitism at its ugliest.

I'm sure there are some readers who, as I did, read Wolfe's letter for what it is. Sadly, there are other people, I'm sure, who read it, understood and agree with it.

But some who read the letter, probably didn't know what Wolfe was really saying. You are the people to whom I'm writing.

Mr. Wolfe believes that there is a vast Jewish conspiracy to control the world's money markets, and perhaps the world itself. He doesn't have to use the word "Jew" to make that point and his dots are not that hard to connect.

Shylock was the Jewish moneylender in Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice; that's the first link in his letter. The Rothchilds, whom he mentions, have been wealthy Jewish bankers for generations who have also, for generations, been blamed for the world's financial woes.

"International bankers" is a coded reference to Jewish bankers going back to Henry Ford, who wrote a disgraceful anti-Semitic book that eventually won him a medal from Adolf Hitler.

So, read those letters carefully, folks. While you nod your head over the points with which you might agree - about our country's debt, the loss of manufacturing jobs and the shrinking value of the dollar - be careful you're not also giving a nod to a Wolfe in rational clothing.

Prepare for depression

The Great Depression has already hit America - but not with all its fury yet. It will humble, humiliate and devastate America so that the country will never recover. It will make the Great Depression of the 1930s look mild in comparison. It will start soon because of the following reasons.

1) America's housing market has collapsed. Millions of Americans will lose their homes because of the sub-prime real estate disaster which was caused by predatory and unscrupulous mortgage lenders.

2) The Shylocks of Wall Street like Bear Stearns, Goldman Sachs, the Rothschilds, the Bronfmans and other international bankers have deliberately swindled investors by artificially inflating stocks so they can make a "killing."

3) The Iraq and Afghanistan wars have already cost America over $1 trillion.

4) The dollar keeps shrinking. The dollar will become worthless because of America's enormous trade imbalance with China.

5) America has lost millions of jobs to China and India because of "outsourcing."

6) America has lost its manufacturing base as it has been destroyed by Japan which has annihilated America's auto, appliance, and electronics industries.

7) Americans have the lowest savings rate in the world and save less than 1 percent of their income - and without savings the economy cannot grow.

8) The price of gas keeps rising and soon will be more than $100 a barrel.

9) Americans have maxed out their credit cards. America is on the verge of bankruptcy and insolvency - and soon the entire rotten structure will come crashing down.
