Subject: a few have been posted of the Maine pageant stage shots. you can tan which is great. For the little ones I would say a little light colored lipgloss, maybe a little bronzer or blush thats it. for older regular makeup like for school or daytime. Not stripped down natural but just light make-up.

In reply to: 's message, "Has anyone posted competition photos of girls who have won the NES state pageants? I want to see how they are made up. I feel like they are being too vague in what is allowed and what isn't. I'd like to see what is actually winning." on 07:27:11 06/30/07 Sat

[> Subject: I don't think Tammy is being vague at all. Under ten, as someone posted, lip gloss, a little color for the cheek and clear masacra, for 10 to 12 still minimal may be a touch of eye color , 13-15 what they would wear to school and 16 and up what they would wear to school.work or going out. Tans are allowed. What is NOT allowed: False eyelashes, wigs, falls, hair pieces of any kind and NO flippers. Hope this helps

[> [> [> [> Subject: How is that any different than allowing flippers? It is natural for girls not to be tan in the winter just like it is natural for girls of a certain age to be missing teeth. Both are fake and shouldn't be allowed.

[> [> [> [> [> Subject: Because of the Southern girls being naturally tanned ,all yr round and stage lighting. The rest of it has nothing to do with lighting and is all fake.. If you want the falls and flippers, then stick to glitz

[> [> [> [> [> [> Subject: I don't want any of it. So what if some girls are darker than others. Black girls are always dark, but that doesn't mean that others need to be because they will have an unfair advantage because of their skin color. And the stage lighting is just a load of crap, stage actors don't tan because of the lighting.
