Subject: PRAYER REQUEST FOR MIKE, KAYE & KELSEY NEWCOMB

I have some extremely difficult news to report to you regarding Mike Newcomb. As you know, Mike has really had a time of it since late last summer, early fall. His cancer returned for the 3rd time in the form of chronic lymphosytic (sp?) leukemia which carried about an 80% cure rate. In the last month, new problems have reared their ugly heads and Mike has gone through a battery of tests that no mere mortal should have to endure. I just spoke with Mike, and the results from his tests are in, and it is not good at all.

In addition to the leukemia, Mike has soft tissue sarcoma and has 2 tumors on either side of his spine around his waist line. While they are not large, they are nasty. His doctors have estimated that, with treatment, he has about 1 year left.

Please, please, please, please, I beg you to pray for Mike, Kaye & Kelsey in their time of need. I will do everything in my power to keep you apprised of developments. I talked with Mike about whether or not he wants me to continue posting these messages, and he said he appreciates it very much and that the phone calls and messages that he gets from all of you really help to keep him going.
