Subject: Shameful day for the NFL

What a F'ing shame that Ark Monk was, AGAIN, passed over for the Hall of Fame. ...and what makes it worse? The Crackhead from Dallas was voted in. What a joke...a horrible, horrible joke.

First look at the numbers.

Art Monk:
--Monk played 16 seasons in the NFL (14 as a Redskin) and finished with 940 catches, 12,721 yards and 68 TDs. He was a Pro Bowler in 1984, 1985 and 1986.
--First to reach 900 catches-his record broken by some guy named Rice. Retired with the NFL record for catches in a season (106) and most consecutive games with a catch (183).
--One of the best 3rd-down receivers of all time (check the numbers).
--Outstanding blocker on a successful, smash-mouth style team.
--Member of 4 Super Bowl teams - 3 Titles

The Crackhead:
--caught 750 passes for 11,904 yards and 65 touchdowns during his 12-season career. He was named to five Pro Bowls.
--3 Super Bowl teams - 3 titles
--known for pushing-off to get open
--hard worker off the field, but selfish

even Andre Reed:
Reed - 16 seasons - 951 passes for 13,198 yards and 87 TDs. Seven times he made the Pro Bowl.

NOW, HOW ABOUT CHARACTER!
Monk - on and off the field is known for exemplary behavior. For any Crackhead fans reading this, that means excellent.
--helped found The Good Samaritan Foundation in Washington.
--never "showboated" or "showed-up" other players
--the list goes on and on...but, you already know all that about Monk, if you know anything at all about football

The Crackhead? ...not so much
--his actions on the field were atrocious
--numerous arrests
--cocaine/crackhead
--a criminal off the field--yet ESPN loves him and keeps him on the air.

Don't tell me how all that bullshit behavior on and off the field does not count towards the Hall voting, because that would simply drawing further attention to the obvious. Just pathetic that the Hall voters would rather have such vermin in their Hall than a guy like Art Monk.

A sad state of affairs for professional sports in general. No way in Hell that fool deserves to be in the Hall before Art Monk. By statistics alone, maybe he should be in, but Monk should already be there.

Sickening to watch how ESPN guys laugh and joke with him about his foolish behavior on the field.

Man, if I could just run that league for one week...
