I highly recommend the Southern Wisconsin Open (www.southernwisconsinopen.com). They're website sucks, but what decent karate tournament's website doesn't? ;P

This tournament is in Verona, Wisconsin. It's held in the spring and fall. It runs smoothly. They run weapons, then regroup for forms. Then they have grands, and finally go into sparring. The tournament usually has about 500 competitors, and the competition is pretty decent. A few local hotshots are always there. I've gone to the past ten or so. It's great in the fall, because it's right before Diamonds, and it's a great warm up tournament.
