Rainbow Playback Theatre playing @ hku

The Playback group in HK is going to perform for HKqUeercampus folks next Tue 17th April 2007!

Venue: Room 1A05 (1/F) in Fong Shu Chuen Amenities
Centre (above Global Lounge next to Swire Hall)

Time: 6:30pm, 17th April 2007 (Tue)

Fee: Free of charge

Playback Theatre is an original form of improvisational theatre in which audience or group members tell stories from their lives and watch them enacted on the spot. Whether in theatres, workshops, educational or clinical settings, Playback Theatre draws people closer as they see their common humanity.

Audience are welcome to share their stories or feelings (in Cantonese or English) related to their sexual orientations or gender identities, and after the sharing, the theatre group will then perform the message in an abstract form with a cathartic purpose! It allows our voices to be heard, taken into consideration and to be part of an empathetic communication.

The HK Playback group comprises of a conductor (facilitator), musicians, actors, and a translator if needed. The session takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Please email us if you are interested to participate so that we know how many people to expect:
