I'm a long time fan of AOR. I've spent the better part of my 28 years listening to upbeat, melodic rock. A key component for my listening involves solid vocals. I must admit that often, I will forgive marginal vocals for a great chorus! However, when it comes to the material Freddy has produced, there is no compromise needed. This is a man who can really belt it out. Of course, I don't have to convert anybody who would be reading this on a Freddy Curci website!

I just want to thank Freddy for sharing his wonderful talents. Whenever I think of "the ultimate AOR supergroup," Freddy's name always comes to mind. I put him in a short list of inspired vocalists - including Tony Harnell of TNT, Danny Vaughn of Tyketto, Steve Overlund of FM, Dennis Deyoung of Styx and THE VOICE, Steve Perry.

Chronologically, it's very interesting to listen to the evolution of Freddy's vocals. With Sheriff you can hear him really pushing to hit those high notes and show the world his talents, to their full extent. With Alias, he seems to have some years under his belt and doesn't have as much to prove vocally - he just lets the songs dictate where his voice should go. Dreamer's Road shows us a more adult contemporary side with my favorite Curci vocal ever for Brown Eyed Girl. It sounds like he's smiling when he sings this song.

I'd love to see you live and in person! You ever get down to San Diego, CA, I'll have a fist full of cd's for you to sign! You are THE Man!

--- Mike in San Diego
