Hi Freddy,
I've always wondered if there was anyway to contact you, and noticed that you are actually someone who takes the time to read the message board on your site and actually respond to your fans. When seeing this, I decided to finally try and contact you.
I've loved many genres of music for many years but your music, vocals, and lyrics seem to stand out amongst the rest. Your strong words and lyrics really strike a chord with me and my wife and your cds are always in our cd player. I own all of your releases and can honestly say, "I never get tired of listening to any of them".
When the "Sheriff" cd was first released, I was still too young to be buying my own music but I remember my older brother owning the lp and really being connected to the music. When the "Alias" cd was released, I was working at a "Sam the Record Man" in my city and that album just blew me away. I recognized that "voice" immediately! I would play it in store everyday and recommend it to anyone who was buying a cd that was in the same genre of music. I had many customers return and personally come in to thank me for recommending such a great cd. Next, was "Dreamer's Road", the first thing I heard from that cd was "Brown Eyed Girl". I had always loved that song, but your version (not to put down "Van Morrison") was just awesome!!! It had so much more life to it and was probably the first time that I had ever heard a cover version I enjoyed more than the original! There were so many songs on that cd such as "Diamonds", "Just To Be Close", & "Into The Fire" that were inspiring! That cd was playing in my car cd player at all times. Next came "Then and Now", I could not believe what I saw on the back cover of the cd the first day I saw it, "three songs were sung in Italian"! Being of Italian descent myself, I've always enjoyed listening to music sung in my mothertongue but now here I would get to hear one of my very favorite artists performing his craft in Italian! Freddy, you pulled off some amazing versions! Just when I thought there was no way you could get any better, I heard "Finally" (both English & Italian) and to this day, both me and my wife agree that it is one of the most beautiful songs that we have ever heard!
It was only when reading your website that I learned of a second Alias cd being recorded but never released, what a shame, I would have loved to have this included in my collection. Hopefully it will one day be released for all of your fans to enjoy! I have now been waiting patiently for a new release, is there any news on that front!
I wrote this with the hope that you will read it and realize how you have probably affected so many people's lives like you have mine! I really did not want to contact you in such a public forum but had no other idea how to contact you! If I would have known your pesonal email, I would definitly have contacted you there!
