I'm looking at the service plans for the Handspring Visor Phone and need some assistance in understanding some of the features.

What is Ping/Pong and SMS? Is this something that I WANT, NEED, DOESN'T really matter?

When using this kind of a phone for long distance, the plan says, NO CHARGE. Does that mean that there is no toll charge to call anywhere in the country? Or does that simply mean that the cell service does not charge you an additional charge. You still pay the itemized toll minutes from the toll carrier? Or perhaps I would want to use my 'prepaid phone card' to avoid excessive toll charges?
