Hi Martin:

There are a couple of ways.
1. Use the Memo application. In Desktop or Outlook, create a note and copy the text from your ascii file and paste it. Then synchronize and the file will show up as a memo on the PDA.
2. Use Documents to Go or Quickoffice. It will convert the ascii file to a .doc file in order to get it on the PDA, but then you could use their viewers to see the file.
3. Use a device like a Clarinet EthIR Star to beam the file as a whole to the PDA. This device uses FTP and the infrared port to "push" the file to the PDA. The benefit is that it takes no configuration to actually push a file, so it's great for trade shows and stuff. The drawback is that setting the little bugger up is a little difficult.
Contact me for more info if you need it.
