I have a Palm Vx and a Visor Deluxe and I HotSync both of them on the same PC. You have to install the Handspring Desktop that comes with the Visor to get the HotSync manager that has USB support which you need for the Visor. I installed this in a new folder called C:\Handspring which probably wasn't needed but I did it out of paranoia. My husband also used to sync both a Palm and a Handspring on the same PC (before he returned his Handspring) and he installed both in the original C:\Palm folder without any trouble.

Once you install the Handspring Desktop on your PC you probably have an older version of the Palm Desktop than you used to have; you can just go ahead and re-install the Palm Desktop from www.palm.com. Just don't reinstall the HotSync manager. When you right click on the HotSync manager icon on your system tray you should see a new item at the top called "Local USB". This should be checked, as should "Local Serial". You can now plug your Visor's cradle into an available USB port, and leave your Palm connected to the serial port. You can HotSync either device now. The first time you HotSync the Visor it will ask you for a user name. You will have the opportunity to create a new user. Once you do that, then every time you sync it will know which user you mean. Whenever you install new software, you will be asked which user's PDA you want to install on. When you go into the Palm Desktop you will have a dropdown which will allow you to choose which PDA's information to see.
