Every once in a while, we love to go to pageants...just to see old friends and compete. You never know where these pageants will take you, and it's always interesting to watch all the people. However, today, we had a new experience.
Courtney and I were at the Sunburst Pageant, with hopes of placing in the Top 10, so she would have her entry paid for next year. We saw some old friends, Anna, Elise, MaCayla, Montana, and a few others. We also saw some of our newer friends - Emily, Kaitlin, Tinkerbelle....
Our friend Elise placed first runner up in the Little Miss Division - and our friend Montana, placed second runner up. What an AWESOME job - you girls ROCK!
Then we get to Courtney's division...LOTS of beautiful girls, so making Top 10 would be an achievement in itself! Well, Courtney, Anna, Macayla, and Kaitlin all placed in the Top 10......things are moving along quickly, and we are finally at the 1st Runner Up and Winner - our friend Kaitlin was in the Top 2, and it was PRICELESS to watch her face.....this girl has done very few pageants, she is around 5'11" and is 13......When she realized she had one (in her first time at Sunburst), she fell to the ground....she was so grateful! Anyway...it's hard to capture that moment in words, but I can say we were ALL very pround of her! Kaitlin, you are VERY beautiful, and we are so happy for your win - you truly deserved it, and we hope that your enthusiasm, your humility, and your graceful spirit will be contagious to others. BTW - LOVE the rhinestone cast! haha
What a day!
