Good afternoon,
If you're here - then you are probably looking for a good update on the latest happenings with our Q4C group.
We've been quite busy supporting other organizations over the summer, and it's looking like August is going to be another busy month for us.
Appearances (queens, you will get a full update in your email today):
August 30 - Veteran's Memorial Wall - McDonough, Heritage Park
August 30 - Celebrate Freedom Concert - Conyers Horse Park - Free Christian Concert - Top Artists on the Charts and it's completely FREE
August 31 - Salem Baptist Church - McDonough - Festival of Light - sharing the gospel and celebrating our freedom of religion with a HUGE fireworks display (AWESOME event!)
October 11 - Celebrate LiberTee Junior Golf Tournament - sponsored by Rum Creek Golf Course - Stockbridge. There is room for 18 2 person teams - spots are going fast! Look under "Forms" tab for the registration packet.
November 2 - Celebrate Freedom Pageant - Henry County Performing Arts Center - McDonough - 16 crowns, titles, and a whole lot of fun! A few judges will SURPRISE you! Watch as our reigning queens crown and welcome the 2008/2009 Queens OR come as a participant! You can register online or download the form and mail it to the address on the packet. Remember, register by 10 September and receive the Supreme Package for $100.
November 11 - American Legion Post #55 - Queens For Courage (all 2007/2008/2009 queens invited) will present this years check to the Commander - Jim Chafin.
There will be plenty of other events and invites coming up - watch the board to stay in touch. As soon as I figure out the calendar feature on this website - I'll be using it as well! Many of you have asked about the blog feature....now, how well do you know me??? BLOG??? I'm trying, but I think my poor webmaster has given up on me!haha
Really, we look forward to seeing everyone again soon - and look forward to making new friends as we move into the new year. As you can see in our photo gallery, our girls and their families stay very busy. This organization would not be what it is without them, and most will never know how much we truly value, appreciate, and love each one of them!
God Bless, and have a great day!
P.S. - if you've made it this far....post a message or a comment - even if it's just to send a happy thought to one of the Queens! BE NICE! :)
Molly
