Greg's Atlantis article (reprinted on this site) about the history of the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow has been particularly topical in the last two weeks, since the death of Boris Yeltsin. The lying-in-state and funeral of the former Russian leader were both held in the resurrected Cathedral, confirming its status as a symbol of the New Russia and of the re-birth of the Russian church as an important part of state display.
