I personally hope they don't write it into the script. Yeah, the show needs something new to get it back into the Top 10, but babies can't save shows. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, please take a look at the following:
Exhibit A: Mad About You
Exhibit B: Roseanne
Exhibit C: Growing Pains
Exhibit D: Family Ties
Exhibit E: Roc
Exhibit F: SOAP
Without going through the entire alphabet, let me just add that the only time a baby has been beneficial to a show (and Friends doesn't count b/c it's been on its last leg for 3 years and is FINALLY going to die) was I LOVE LUCY, and that was because it had never been done before. This is a sitcom, not a soap opera. Let's keep the stars' lives behind the camera where they belong and revive the show with newfound intellect and wit.
