Hi y'all -
I'm on vacation his week with my parents in their timeshare in Orlando. This is the first year my sister isn't here, since she's in college and can't take off, and I miss her a lot.
My parents are sleeping now, so I'm using my dad's laptop to type this post. I promised my parents a long time ago that I wouldn't exchange e-mails with strangers or chat with a stranger online. Although this board is public and a lot different than private chatting, my parents still would probably not be happy with my posting stuff here, so I have to do this when they're not around.
There are 2 other girls my age here, and we've been hanging out by the pool and the lake here during the day. They're non-smokers, and have no interest in smoking. I've told them that I smoke, but haven't smoked in front of them.
A lot of people on the other teen smoking board asked why I don't smoke in public. I guess I just have more things in common with the non-smoking crowd at high school, and although my friends won't alienate me if they knew I smoked, they would think of me differently, and I don't want that to happen. I enjoy smoking just for myself, and that's it.
The only interesting thing that has happened here that's smoking related is that the other night, when I was driving back to our timeshare with my parents, we stopped at a traffic light, and I saw another teenage girl in the back seat of her parents' car smoking. I looked at her, smiled, and gave her a thumbs-up sign. I think she figured out that I meant that I also smoke in front of my parents. It was no big deal, but it was fun interacting with that girl for the quick moment.
Gonna go to sleep now.
