Subject: Cystoscopy plus inspection through anus, vagina getting mandatory for all preteens Author: Knut Holt [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 05:41:58 08/22/18 Wed Age distribution of cystoscopy - preteen, middle age, senior age I have for some years conducted a public poll about experience of cystoscopies, the age distribution of this exam, the way it was done, and additional exams performed in the same session. By regarding the results of my poll so far, some interesting conclusions can be made. Age 12 and thereabout, is a definite peak regarding frequency of this procedure. For this age group, cystosopy is nearly always done togeter with inspection through the anus into the lower digetive system and for girls through the vagina. Another peak is the ages 30-39, and the third peak the senior ages 60-69. The poll has already been active for some years, and in two sessions, which seem to reveal some interesting conlusion regarding the recent development. During the first session I did not get any report from age 11-12-13, even though a few answars about children and teens. The second sesession is more than halfly filled width testaminials from age 11-12-13yo, 12 answars out of 17 answars of which 12yo clearly peaked. The answars from boys and girls are equally frequent, with some overveight in girls. About the same number respond that the procedure was for mandatory screening as those thesponded it was to investigate symptoms. This seems to indicate that steadily more communities recently have begun to soubject preteen children for a pelvic exam that includes cystosopy, lower digestive inspection and vaginal inspection for girls, both as a mandatory screening exam and exam upon even small symptoms. It seems that a endoscopic pelvic screening exam for the preteen population is rapidly becoming mandatory worldwide, which include inspections through all pelvic openings, and there began a sudden increase of this exam for the preteen group from year 2016. But it is also obvious that this is not informed generally to the population, and it comes as a suprise both for the kid and the parents when it occurs. I have however found one orientation about this combined procedure oriented at the public, at the website of Cincinatty Childrens hospital, where it is described as a standard procedure for girls.
