I'm really surprised that DDA is doing this. However, I know they have lots of expenses because they try harder than anyone to make their pageant all about the kids and to make it the greatest pageant experience ever. That said, if directors would stop taking entries after deadlines, or at the very least charge a penalty of say, $200.00 (which is equal the the discount people who paid early got), this nonsense would stop. Directors shouln't have to lose sleep over if they are going to be able to cover expenses. Too many people want to wait to the last minute to see if the numbers might be down before they decide to take their child. That is kind of sad if you ask me. Have faith in your child that they will do their best no matter how many are there. Also, it is supposed to be about the kids and the fun they have and the memories you make with them.
