Subject: I think what the op was saying is that the girls were children of prelim directors for that system. This should not happen, I know of a few pageants where the national director allows her st. directors dd's compete in their national. That is such a no-no and should be a rule at the top of this page. c/i
In reply to: 's message, "How about this one-no directors daughters being allowed to compet. My daughter did a state pageant and afterwards I found out that several of the contestants were daughters of prelim directors. All of them one crowns and were alowed to go to nationals. If you are a director your daughter should not be allowed to compet give them a life time queen or a special royalty queens group." on 17:01:39 10/25/07 Thu

What I do not understand is that I have also seen this on some very popular boards that this is happening, but these systems still draw good numbers. I do not have a dd that competes anymore, but she is having a child and if it is a girl I know she will most likely enter her in pageants. But I will never enter my gd in a system that allows the state director's of their systems dd's compete. If this is not coi I do not know what is. I for one being a director am tired of putting out all my hard earned money, running a fair, nice pageant and not able to pull the contestants because I do not play these games. Moms should try and venture out, to some of these smaller systems that are trying to make a name on what their pageant represents and that they are doing this for your dd, and not just for the money. Of course this is a business and we all hope to succeed and make money as any business does, but I want to earn it because I run a good system, not because I had to cheat. RBI
