Subject: Low-Ball Scoring? Here's An Idea....

My dd has been competing for 5 years and I have heard the same complaints from parents during the whole time. It seems that at every pageant there is an issue with one judge low-balling. In other forms of competitions such as Figure Skating and even Cheerleading competitions the HIGHEST AND LOWEST scores are ALWAYS dropped. Why not do this in pageants as well? Sure there are systems that drop the lowest score. But if the highest and lowest scores are both dropped, this could make for more fair judging. Also eliminate the "Plus". A 10 should be just that, not 10++. 10's should ONLY be given when that contestant is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT with no flaws whatsoever. Let's get real, even Big Name girls are never ALWAYS perfect!!!
