If there truly were no modeling score, then the "top model" kids would not always be the ones winning. There are some VERY beautiful children at nationals who just don't model as well as the big name kids. Funny how the big name kids win even the "no modeling" pageants. And, yes, I know the big name kids are gorgeous, but so are a lot of other kids there. From my experience in nationals, beauty modeling has not strayed so far afield as the other events. Pro-Am is not modeling at all. It is some strange mixture of modeling, dancing and gymnastics, with all of it done badly. And we just keep promoting it? Why?
