- ARE YOU A MYSPACE ZOMBIE? -

Lyn met with the NEC and the LYM on Monday night. He focused
much of the discussion on two vital organizing fronts.

First, the global financial system is finished. The first
step to replacing this already bankrupt post-Bretton Woods
criminal system, of fraudulent credit, is the passage of the
Homeowners and Bank Protection Act (HBPA). Cancel the criminally
generated money, reregulate the banks and establish a new
monetary system through the HBPA. Bring the U.S. back to the
Constitutional system of Federal credit. End the criminal system
associated with names like Michael Milken and Alan Greenspan, who
created paper assets out of thin air.

We have to win on both the housing and banking aspects of
the HBPA. Young people have to realize that, if we don't
succeed, they will not have a nation to live in. We are making
state-by-state breakthroughs on the legislation. We should be
recruiting young people right off the streets and putting them to
work, mobilizing for Congressional passage of the HBPA. Young
people are looking for a mission, so our job is to give them the
marching orders, and the tools, and education, to act.

People have to be taught that banks, per se, are not the
enemies of homeowners. The bankers themselves have to face the
fact that they are doomed, unless there is Federal protection,
through bankruptcy reorganization and reregulation. Under our
Constitutional system, the only basis for uttering credit is
through action by the House of Representatives, authorizing the
U.S. Treasury to issue credit. We have to go back to a system of
protected national banking. The HBPA brings us back to
Hamiltonian thinking and policies. We have got to get Congress
and other institutions to change their way of thinking, to save
our Republic. And young people, in particular, have to think
this through--no gimmicks.

The second, big issue, is the state of affairs of our youth,
the 18-25 year olds, in particular. They are the targets of a
youth culture, whose ultimate goal is to create a whole
generation of suicide killers--not from Southwest Asia, from the
death zones of the Gaza Strip, North Africa, etc. These suicide
killers are being produced right here in the United States and
Europe--through a death culture associated with the violent
video-games, with MySpace and Face Book and the rest of the Cyber
traps. Lyn is writing a major piece on this problem, which will
appear as the cover story of next week's EIR, under the title
``From Milken & Enron to Perugia: Extreme Events.''

We are going to destroy MySpace, Face Book and the video
game culture that is destroying our youth. If we don't succeed,
within months, not years, we are going to witness a proliferation
of video game-programmed suicide killers, modeled on the
Columbine mass murderers, Klebold and Harris. We know that these
kids are not in control of their actions. They are being
programmed, through a top-down long-running operation, involving
the Frankfurt School, the Tavistock Institute and the plethora of
spin-off agencies. We know that Bill Gates is witting of what is
going on, as is Rupert Murdoch. We are not going to sit back and
let a vital generation of young people be turned into controlled
zombies. We are going to shock kids out of this suicide culture.
In addition to Lyn's forthcoming blockbuster article, we will
also be putting the finishing touches on a pamphlet, prepared by
the LYM, on this madness.

Suicide as a method of warfare, as it has been used in
Southwest Asia, is an integral part of the whole British
``Revolution in Military Affairs.'' In Southwest Asia, you see
the situation fairly clearly. Young people have no sense of
optimism about their lives and their futures. They are prone to
the mentality of hatred, where they say: I am going to die, and
my life will have meaning because I am going to bring down a lot
of other people with me.

Here, in the U.S.A and Europe, young people are being
dragged into a virtual world, where they are programmed,
literally, to kill. We have the stunning recent incident in
Finland, the killing in Perugia. It is spreading. We are on the
verge of suicide terrorism in the United States. We are on the
verge of mass terrorism. We have got to stop this. And we will
stop it by making people aware of what is happening inside their
heads. Shock people into reality. Ask them: ``Are you a
MySpace zombie?'' Show them a picture of a future Hell, a Hell
designed decades and decades ago by the perverse minds of people
like H.G. Wells and Bertrand Russell.

These two issues--1. the financial collapse, which has
already occurred; and 2. the campaign to destroy MySpace, Face
Book and the video games--are our priorities. This is our major
emphasizs. Other activities are auxiliary and should be
supportive of these two critical objectives.

To achieve these two objectives, we have got to get back to
the kind of youth-led mass organizing that characterized the LPAC
work, at least through the November 2006 election. Target our
outreach to the youth generation. Destroy the MySpace corrupting
influence among young people. So softness, no temporizing. The
youth movement is the pivot of the organization. Activate the
youth, smash the Cyber brainwashing. Recruit youth to the LPAC.
Get them contributing to LPAC, subscribing to EIR Online. Get
the LYM directly involved in this outreach, and the generating of
LPAC memberships and subs is a natural, premeditated part of the
process. Generate real excitement over what we are doing with
the youth, and the Boomers will support us on that basis, and
that basis alone. We can and must immediately get the LPAC
deposits into the $80-90,000 a week level. This is the needed
logistics in depth for winning this fight.

LEADING DEVELOPMENTS

Italian Young Mittelstand Leaders, Politicians hear LaRouche
Representative

Nov. 12 - On Nov. 10, LaRouche representative Claudio Celani was
invited as the main speaker at the second day of the national
congress of {Confapi Giovani}, the youth section of Confapi,
National Association of Small Enterprises ("Mittelstand"). About
270 delegates up to age 40, each an owner or manager of a small
to medium-sized enterprise, coming from all the regions across
Italy, were in attendance. The two-day congress featured debates
and interviews with leaders from all political parties,
sandwiched between the main speech by Mrs. Catia Polidori,
chairman of Confapi Giovani, and a summation by the association's
economist, Massimo Lo Cicero.
Celani was described in the program as co-editor of EIR
Strategic Alert, and deputy chairman of Movisol (the LaRouche
movement in Italy), and a short biography said that he joined the
LaRouche movement in 1973 and has collaborated since then with
Lyndon LaRouche in several functions, including in the EIR
intelligence staff in Wiesbaden.
Celani gave a power-point presentation projected onto a
giant movie screen in the hall, starting with the map of the
Eurasian Land-Bridge, and focussing on (1) LaRouche's analysis of
the systemic collapse, and (2) LaRouche's solution to the
collapse, including the "Firewall" concept, the New Bretton Woods
and the Continental Land-Bridge project. The very second slide
was a photograph of LaRouche in Rome last September, meeting the
head of the Labor Committee of the Italian Senate. Other slides
included the Triple Curve, a few animations on the U.S., German
and Italian economies, and three Alan Greenspan cartoons. Celani
explained that LaRouche, unlike most economists, can understand
what has happened to the world economy because he studies the
economy as a dynamic process, whereas most economists, especially
those who win a Nobel Prize, use a mathematical-statistical
method. Celani then showed how the Anglo-Dutch system dominant
especially since 1971 has destroyed the world economy, and how
Greenspan introduced derivatives in 1987 to prolong the
bankrupted financial system.
In the middle of Celani's speech, former Foreign minister
Gianfranco Fini arrived, who was supposed to speak the day before
but could not make it. Celani acknowledged Fini's presence,
saying he would shorten his speech, but would conclude before
Fini spoke.
So, he went ahead to discuss the Eurasian/World Land-Bridge,
including high-technology projects such as TransRapid, nuclear
energy etc. He concluded reminding the audience that in 2005, the
Italian Chamber of Deputies had voted in favor of a NBW
conference, but he pointed out that government institutions in
Italy are not sovereign: They are blackmailed by the oligarchy
through the use of media and Jacobin mobs. Political leaders must
therefore reach a non-factional agreement to pursue national
interests and involve popular support for big projects, otherwise
the Italian nation will be destroyed.
Celani's speech was greeted with much applause, and many
delegates approached him to congratulate and invite him to speak
at their regional associations, with requests for him to speak in
five different cities.
EIR had been provided with a booktable at the entrance of
the meeting, where we had our 2003 NBW special report, which we
are selling wholesale for 20 euros. We sold 15 of them, and
people took also free samples of the EIR Strategic Alert.
Celani and his colleague Andrew Spannaus spoke with several
politicians and established contact with them. In general,
although they followed especially the Firewall presentation very
attentively, they all made their presentations on petty Italian
matters, mostly detached from reality, to the general disgust of
the audience. Only one of them, Alfonso Gianni, said publicly
that he finds some of LaRouche's ideas "eccentric," but he agrees
with most of them. Other politicians included, besides the
Gianfranco Fini (Alleanza Nazionale national chairman): Deputy
Premier Francesco Rutelli, who was there the first day; DS
leaders Piero Fassino and Nicola Latorre; Radical Party idiot
Daniele Capezzone; UDC leader Bruno Tabacci and others. [ccc]

LaRouche Strategy Excites Packed Sonora, Mexico Forum on Great
Water Projects

CIUDAD OBREGON, Sonora, Nov. 12 (LPAC)--Over 500 people
overflowed this city's principal auditorium on Nov. 9, for the
regional forum entitled "Let Us Build the Bridge to the Future,
the PLHINO of the Twenty-first Century: Water, Energy and Food
for Mexico." The conference was organized by the 15-organization
Pro-Plhino Committee, founded at the initiative of Lyndon
LaRouche's associates in the region, to assemble the political
juggernaut required to finally get construction going on the
long-planned, tri-state water management project known as the
North West Hydraulic Plan, or PLHINO.
The discussion was shaped by the intense national debate and
shock over the horrible destruction just wrecked on the south of
the country by heavy rains, precisely because long-planned
necessary water projects were not built.
As presented with beautiful, detailed maps by Mexican
engineer Manuel Frias Alcaracaz, the PLHINO entails a 400-plus
kilometer-long set of dams, tunnels and canals, bringing the
waters of 16 rivers from the state of Nayarit to the dry but
fertile lands of neighboring Sinoloa and Sonora, opening up
700,000 new hectares of land for farming, while generating
electricity and jobs in all three states. Pro-Plhino coordinator
and LaRouche associate Alberto Vizcarra Osuna detailed how such
state-directed infrastructure projects as the PLHINO are a matter
of {national} interest, for Mexico to secure its food
sovereignty.
The centerpiece of the five hour forum, was a presentation
by Executive Intelligence Review's Dennis Small, on Lyndon
LaRouche's global strategy to save civilization from financial
collapse and a new dark age, by mobilizing global cooperation
behind great infrastructure projects. Not only must Mexico build
the PLHINO, Small argued, but the United States and Mexico, must
establish exemplary cooperation, along with Canada, in jointly
building the gigantic North American Water and Power Alliance
(NAWAPA) project, to transport waters currently flowing into the
Artic Ocean from Canada and Alaska, down through the western
United States, and into northern Mexico, including into Sonora's
Yaqui River.
The audience responded enthusiastically, remarking: "the
PLHINO is good, but why stop there? NAWAPA, the Bering Straits
Tunnel project: now those are {big}!"
Participation in the conference revealed the political army
forming for a return to great state-directed infrastructure: two
federal senators and several federal Congressmen from the states
of Sonora and Sinoloa, Sonoran state legislators and officials,
mayors from across southern Sonora, national and regional peasant
leaders, students, farmers and labor representatives.
The conference was closed by Sonora's Senator Alfonso Elias
Serrano and Governor Eduardo Bours, both of whom endorsed the
PHLINO, and the idea of "thinking big," as necessary to secure
Mexico's future. [ggs]

Nov. 12--The following resolution was adopted on Nov. 5 by
the City Council of Shively, Kentucky, a suburb of Louisville.

- City of Shively -
- Resolution NO. 3, SERIES 2007 -

A resolution requesting the United States Congress to enact
legislation to address nationwide financial problems with the
home mortgages and to protect federal and state chartered banks.

WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Shively is aware that
there is an ongoing problem to the residents and taxpayers of the
City of Shively and to the administration of the city government
from home mortgage foreclosures; and

WHEREAS the said City Council has received information that
the rate of home mortgage foreclosures on a nationwide basis will
continue and increase; and

WHEREAS the financial problems causing the aforesaid
foreclosures and collateral financial problems created by this
chain of events can be integrated as resulting in loss of homes
to Shively residents and on a nationwide basis and damaging the
integrity of federal and state chartered banks

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SHIVELY:

Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Shively herewith
resolves to request that Congress pass the Homeowners and Bank
Protection Act of 2007 to :

(a) Establish a Federal agency to place Federal and State
chartered banks under protection, freezing all existing home
mortgages for a period of time, adjusting mortgage values to
fair prices, restructuring existing mortgages at appropriate
interest rates and writing off speculative debt obligations of
mortgage-backed securities, financial derivatives and other forms
of financial pyramid schemes that have brought the banking system
to the point of bankruptcy;

(b) That Congress declare a moratorium on all home
foreclosures for the duration of the transitional period,
allowing families to retain their homes. Monthly payments, the
equivalent of "rental payments", shall be made to designated
banks, which can use the funds as collateral for normal lending
practices, thus recapitalizing the banking system. These
affordable monthly payments will be factored into new mortgages,
reflecting the orderly deflating of the housing bubble, the
establishment of appropriate property valuations and reduced
fixed mortgage interest rates. While this may take several years
to achieve, in the interim period no homeowner shall be evicted
from his or her property, and the Federal and State chartered
banks shall be protected so that they can resume their
traditional functions, serving local communities and facilitating
credit for investment in productive entities; and

(c) That Congress authorize Governors of the states to
assume the administrative responsibilities for implementing the
program, including the "rental" assessments to designated banks
with the federal government transition.

Section 2: The City Clerk is herewith requested to provide copies
of this resolution to the members of the Senate from the
Commonwealth of Kentucky and the Third District Congressman from
the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the Honorable John Yarmuth.

Section 3: This resolution shall take effect from and after
passage and publication.

ENTERED THIS 5TH DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2007.

Sherry S. Conner, Mayor
Becky Roberson, acting as City Clerk

Report: Sub-Prime Losses Could Reach $500 Billion Worldwide

Nov. 12, (LPAC)-- A new report out today from Deutsche Bank says
that bank losses from the continuing collapse of the subprime
mortgage securities could eventually reach $300-$400 billion
worldwide. Wall Street alone will be forced to write down as much
as $130 billion, with the rest of the losses coming from smaller
banks and investors in mortgage-related securities. Already last
month, Citigroup Inc., Merrill Lynch & Co. and Morgan Stanley
each announced write-downs in the tens of billions of dollars,
led by Citigroup with writedowns of more than $40 billion. Report
author Mike Mayo expects total writedowns at HSBC, UBS AG, Royal
Bank of Scotland Group Plc and Barclays Plc to be "ballpark of $5
billion or so" each. This could cause major problems for
banks--HSBC, for example, has a $45 billion mortgage services
business, and only $2.1 billion in loss provisions. Mayo
apparently makes no estimate of what Deutsche Bank's own losses
might be.
According to the report, subprime borrowers are likely to
eventually default on 30% to 40% of all outstanding debt. For a
$1.2 trillion subprime mortgage market, that figure could easily
approach $500 billion. This year alone, having already announced
losses totalling over $40 billion, banks and brokers may have to
write off an additional $25 billion, for a total of $60-$70
billion. These figures could well be much larger, since, as Mayo
admits, he was going by "seat-of-the-pants" calculations, based
on published figures, which in many cases have proven to
be--shall we say--"conservative."
In addition, loss rates on about $200 billion of securities
based on derivatives linked to subprime debt will run to as high
as 80%, according to the DB report, which would amount to $160
billion. Coverage by Bloomberg news notes that a Lehman Brothers'
report from last week found that commercial banks,
government-chartered firms Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and
mortgage and bond insurers will be the most affected by mortgage
losses. "We're not out of the woods yet," one fund manager told
Bloomberg. "There are more losses to be taken and there's more
negative news to come."
One should note that these bonds were all rated "AAA"
investment quality, just six months ago. [mpb]

Newsweek Puffs Michael Bloomberg, the ``Man on Horseback,'' As He
Mulls Presidential Bid

Nov. 12 (LPAC)--Last week's issue of {Newsweek} ran a
7,000-word puff piece extolling New York City Mayor Michael
Bloomberg as literally the ``man on horseback'' (Bloomberg has a
lifelong fascination with Paul Revere). ``Bloomberg is a
billionaire wildcard,'' says Newsweek,``a centrist who has the
means to make one of the most significant third-party bids for
the White House in American history.''
Estimated to be worth $13 billion, Bloomberg would run a
``billion-dollar campaign'' if he decides to run, says his chief
political advisor Kevin Sheekey. And Sheekey says Bloomberg would
only do it, if he were convinced that he were likely to actually
win, running against unpopular or discredited major-party
candidates. ``It's something you can do with resources,'' Sheekey
says.
The ``man on horseback'' has some other rather strange
critters in his stable. Although {Newsweek} doesn't go into it,
other media sources have reported the fact that then-Republican
Bloomberg owed his 2001 election to the 59,000 votes he obtained
on the ballot line of the Independence Party, the former New York
State Reform Party of Ross Perot, which was taken over by wackos
Fred Newman and Lenora Fulani. According to the {New York Times}
and the {Village Voice}, Bloomberg then poured over $250,000 into
the Fulani-Newman Independence Party during his 2005 campaign.

How Giuliani's Malfunctioning Radios Killed Firefighters on 9/11;
Expose Underscores LaRouche's Warnings

Nov. 12 (LPAC)--Rudy Giuliani is not a serious candidate for the
Republican nomination, emphasized Lyndon LaRouche on Sunday,
after LaRouche's statement--Giuliani Was Set Up!--was issued Nov.
10. The scandals in Giuliani's closet are well-known, LaRouche
emphasized, and ``The implied plan behind this hanging Giuliani
up high enough to drop him, is: `Suckers of the world unite, if
you have actually already lost your brains!'"
Underlining LaRouche's warning, are developments that
destroy Giuliani's ``hero of 9/11'' self-image.
An investigation has now been launched by Queens Councilman
Eric Gioia, the chair of the New York City Council's Oversight
and Investigations Committee into the case where New York City
firefighters radios, which Giuliani had known for years to be no
good, were in operation, and responsible for the deaths of the
firefighters on 9/11. Video documentaries detailing this story
have been put out by therealrudy.org/
After the World Trade Center bombing in 1993, newly elected
Mayor Giuliani was given a 1994 report showing that the
firefighters' radios in use then did not work. Eight years after
the initial Trade Center bombing, new radios were finally
ordered--through a no-bid contract with Motorola. No pilot
testing was done before the order was placed. No field testing
was done when they were received. Within one week, the city had
to recall the new radios, after a near-fatal incident, in which
the radios malfunctioned. The City had given Motorola $14 million
for the new radios, replacing an earlier $1.4 million contract.
When the new useless radios were recalled, the Giuliani
administration re-issued the old radios, which were known not to
be able to function in such places as the WTC towers. Those were
the radios in use on 9/11.
Police in helicopters had issued warnings 10-15 minutes
before each of the towers collapsed, predicting that would
happen. Police received the evacuation order on their radios. The
firefighters' radios could not communicate with the police
radios. No policemen were lost in the collapse of the North
Tower, but the precise same radios that failed the firefighters
in the 1993 bombing attack on the World Trade Center
malfunctioned again on 9/11, resulting in the deaths of at least
121 firefighters who were unable to hear the order to evacuate.
The video contains footage of Giuliani testifying that it
was the decision of so many brave firefighters to stand their
ground, and not evacuate, which was responsible for maintaining a
sense of calm during the collapse of the towers. To portray
firefighters as refusing to obey an evacuation order, both
surviving firefighters and their families emotionally denounce.
