Are you sure that Raeanna received the full $10k scholarship when she took over for Laura? And does that mean that Laura also received the same amount? If so, where does the organization come up with all that money? While I tend to agree that it seems like one girl is reaping all the benefits in a situation like this, Miss America has made the ruling that a contestant who doesn't win the title outright can come back and compete again. Whether it's fair or not, that is their ruling. But personally, if I had been her, knowing that I had time to come back and try for Miss WI again, would have declined the title and tried to get back to state the following year or beyond. -- Wisconsin Pageants

1. WOW....none of you are walking in her shoes.....I feel people are being WAY TOO judgemental!!! The rules clearly state that she had the right to do exactly what she did and is doing! 2. If it wasn't fair, MAO would rewrite the rules 3. Would you REALLY not take the opportunity to finish out Laura's year as Miss Wisconsin?? Stop and think about this....there is NO guarantee that she was going to win this year!!!! 4. Everyone seems to assume that she would win...really? She didn't win her last 2-3 times at Miss WI.....which means she is beatable! 5. Leave her alone and let time show it's hands. You indicated that she should have declined the job the first time! It comes across like you are not a fan of hers.....so thrilled to hear that is not the case. However, if you are a fan and agree with the decision, be supportive...posts like this sound petty and like you are trying to tarnish her reign.
