Audra Fuchsel is the new Miss La Crosse/Oktoberfest. Audra is a sweet girl, super talented, and obviously has the experience to make another good showing at state. However, both my friend and I thought the 1st runner-up, Sarah Newton, should have won the title. She was close to perfection in every category. The answer to her on-stage question, we both thought sealed the deal for her. But then when she came out in evening gown -- poise and elegance beyond belief. Audra will be a great Miss La Crosse, but it would have been nice if another deserving young woman and won the title and had a chance to go to state. I'm wondering if her platform on Sex Trafficking Awareness and Prevention was a little too heavy to promote as a Miss titleholder. Then, again, perhaps the judges never gave this a consideration when making their final choices. -- Wisconsin Pageants
