Well, i cant say I have suffered a bad year like yours, but maybe being in the 50s is a clue. They always spoke about mid life crisis, and I look back and see what I am now..
I have just scraped togetehr a part time job that means I dont have to live totally on my partner, have just received cheques from my 84 year old mother and sister that will hlp tide me over hopefully until some job with a living wage can be landed and i can pay all my own bills.
I have had probably one of the toughest emotional roller coaster years fro many years, and I expect next year will be tougher.
Having said that, thats life and thats how it is. Life can never give eternal happiness, so I just have to roll with the punches, enjoy the good while it lasts and weatehr the storms between them.
I also have a lot to be grateful to, a partner who is prepared to help me without making me feel bad, a family who rallies around and friends who treat me kindly.
Life is good, overall
