For me it only works when there are few postings. If this were a busier forum, you'd never be able to figure out which are news posts.

For ex. Say there was a thread that is a month old and someone replies to one of the comments, that thread will jump to the top and the new post may be buried somewhere in there.

Not too bad, but still a chore to figure out which of the posts is the new one.

It gets worse in the case when there are several more replies to other threads. Then the aforementioned thread maybe be so far down that no one even realises a post was made.

Most forums are much better designed than this.

If I had time I could probably create a forum or find a good one, but I just can't spare the time right now.
