Here's my attempt to say something. Today someone told me an anecdote that stuck in my mind, so I might as well put it here.

My friend Lizzie used to work in a library. Every week there was an old couple who used to come in, always holding hands, to borrow a talking book to listen to together as the wife was going a little blind. They were utterly charming and Lizzie felt all soppy every time she saw them hand in hand. After many months of this, one day the old man came in alone for the first time ever. His wife had died and he wanted to borrow some music for her funeral. When he asked her for "You are my sunshine", Lizzie burst into tears.

Dunno why, but that made me feel like crying too. Clearly getting sentimental in my old age.

Oh, I saw Schizo last week, by the way. She has a new man and a new baby. Wanted me to help her write a book.
