1 – Do you understand txt language?

A little

2 – Do you like it?

Yes

3 – Do you use it?
In those and other types (but only a little bit)

4 – What, in your opinion is the main reason that
makes people use txt language in their everyday
communication?

Practicality (to save time/ money) Rebellion against
(language) rules Just because it is “cool”

Sorry, Rana, I know this isnt helpful, but i think all those are valid reasons/explanations, but practicality is probably the primary of those

5 – Do you think txt language is a way of
communication only used (or should only be used) by
youths?

For everybody (but mainly for youths - but some of it will slowly creep into more general use)

6 - Do u expect that a day will come when daily papers
>are printed in txt language?

Maybe (I think a few words will)

7 – What do you think about this statement: “texting
>is eroding the English language”.

I disagree

8 - On the whole, do you think the trend of txt
language positive or negative?

Positive

I think text language is quite creative and practical. Language is always changing, and text language helped solve the limited text capacity so well, it has now got a life of its own. Now people are playing with words, being creative and imaginative. Just becasue us older people cant keep up 9and arnt supposed to) it doesnt mean it is not a good thing.
