Or should I say, horse's ass?

Waaay back, a looong time ago (in 2006) Facebook founder Zuckerberg, stated the following in IMs:

ZUCK: yea so if you ever need info about anyone at harvard
ZUCK: just ask
ZUCK: i have over 4000 emails, pictures, addresses, sns
FRIEND: what!? how'd you manage that one?
ZUCK: people just submitted it
ZUCK: i don't know why
ZUCK: they "trust me"
ZUCK: dumb fucks

Then, there's this gem:

FRIEND: so have you decided what you are going to do about the websites?
ZUCK: yea i'm going to fuck them
ZUCK: probably in the year
ZUCK: *ear

You can bet that nothing is what it seems on the surface...

Here's another interesting article:

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/jan/14/facebook">http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/jan/14/facebook</a>

"With friends like these ...

"Facebook has 59 million users - and 2 million new ones join each week. But you won't catch Tom Hodgkinson volunteering his personal information - not now that he knows the politics of the people behind the social networking site"

Anyway, good to know who you're giving you personal info to. Me, I am still on the fence about using Fb. Clearly they cannot be trusted, they've proved that time and again, but since I am not providing my SS# or any credit cards, I am not overly worried.

But you can be sure, everything you say, everything you "like", is being kept and recorded.
