When I think of it that way, I also find it mind boggling to say the least, though the very idea that nothing is solid is simply fascinating.

But the Hindus say "all is consciousness". Now we can analyze that statement but when we do - then it does become confusing. But both Hindus and Buddhists say that we cannot possibly comprehend it with our rational mind.

Yet when we have a particularly realistic dream, do we analyze how our cortex is sending electrical pulses through our neurons, etc etc...?

Typically, no - we simply say "oh, it's just a dream" and it makes sense in its own way - and I often think that that is how we should view this "real" world.

I am not claiming to have any genuine underestanding of course, but I do know (for a fact, but I recognize that it is only a fact to me) that all religions offer truth. This revelation was monumental for me because it opened my mind to all of these ideas that I had formerly rejected. Every religion offers a piece of the puzzle.

I used to think of the myriad of Hindu gods as just plain silly and superstitious. But I now know that there is incredible truth to be mined there - so their saying that this world is a product of our imagination and that we are nothing more than "pure consciousness" should be considered.

Ultimately, I just let all of these ideas simmer in the back of my mind, in hopes that it will someday lead to an "Aha!" moment (and I hope my blog articles might do the same for others).
