Firstly, Penny, not trying to "Educate" anyone, just sharing my diverse taste with friends, and as to Bowie, not bad but my preference is for Marc Bolan, he was better looking, each to their own eh?
Mod, Suede are (were) an excellent band, not for any other reason but the amazing Jazz / Soul guitar over-melody almost unique in more modern "rock" music, but prevelant with the Byrds and Led Zepplin. Music you "tune into the guitar" and the rest sort of passes by! I have to be honest, I wish I could firstly play that well, but more importantly, were talented enough to think the riffs up in the first place!!
