So many do not realize how lucky we were to have George W Bush as president for the last eight years.
He was willing to be vilified in order to do the right thing. How many of us have character like that?

I just got home and have turned on my all-day recording of ABCNews - I'm looking forward to that.
I have a pretty young-minded mom, she's 67 but behaves as I do in my forties - normally not the vocabulary of a sailor. But she was watching with my stepdad's sweet, straight-laced Jamaican nurse Rosie (he's a stroke survivor), and when she saw that shot of the chopper, she yelled at the TV "F***FACE!" Poor Rosie didn't know what to think, but just started cracking up and laughed every time she thought about it, and she thought about it for the rest of the day... I wish I was there!

Either way, no JayJay it was NOT directed at you or anyone specific. It just grieves me to see the bitterness and acrimony. Obviously I'm part of the problem because I'm so partisan. I just don't know what it would take to unite your country, and Canada seems to be suffering the same divisiveness, but not to such an extent.
You're definitely right -- we're *all* in this together.
