Subject: Peace and Prosperity for the new administration

One thing we all know ... things will never be the same in the U.S.

After nearly a decade we can once again hold our heads up on the global stage and work with other countries to make the world a better place.

The U.S. has had a mostly hostile attitude, and suspicious nature all during the last administration. Finally we can throw off the yoke of this 'artificial' war to fill up the Bush family coffers. Finally maybe they are rich enough from glutting on oil and war profits, they'll let us have our democracy back for at least the next four years, and hopefully longer if Obama shows us he knows how to do this RIGHT.

...I am a very happy woman tonight. I've been on the phone with a friend of mine in TX for the past 3 hours and we've been watching the returns together and just held our breath during Obama's speech. He gave an excellent speech, but he must be bone-weary right now--and it must be very bittersweet, because of his grandmother.

Congratulations President Elect Obama; God Bless you and God Bless the USA!

Now, if only Prop 8 gets defeated will my happiness be complete!

What an incredible day! And that speech reminded me of Kennedy. I feel inspired & hopeful this morning. It was so exciting to see so many young people in the crowds. It is going to be a new day and I look forward to the next four years.

On another note, McCain was incredibly gracious in his concession speech. After listening to it, I looked at my husband and said "That is the McCain I would have voted for four years ago!"

I'm finding I can't get enough of the new First Fam. From what they are going to pick for the new First Doggie, to what mom and the girls will wear to the Inaugural Ball. It's such a hopeful time for us!
