This will end up being a new slogan I think. Someone already sent me a URL from Cafepress that were selling "This one voted for That One" t-shirts! LOL

but it didn't pan out. Sounded like an old guy saying 'hey, get outta my yard!' to me, and keep in mind that I love McCain.

I just don't understand how, in an hour and 1/2 debate, there weren't any questions about supreme court justices, immigration reform, and about a million other domestic policies. I know the economy is on everyone's mind, but that is not the only thing.

My dear friend at work, Mr. Pence (age 69 and still working) and his lovely wife have lost almost all of their retirement in the past few weeks. My parents have, too.

I would have liked to hear more about the same topics you listed but the people who were asking the questions obviously thought the economy was more important.

And my point was I expected more from McCain. I actually felt sorry for him; I'm pretty sure that wasn't what he was going for. I expected him to sound stronger and be more in tune with the audience and IMO, he seemed even older and more frail, like the stress of the campaing is getting to him.

If his health is poor due to his years as a POW and having melanoma then that just reinforces my opinion he made a terrible choice when he picked Sarah Palin as a running mate.

I read in my newspaper, The Toronto Star, that the questions are not complete surprises. The people are picked way before the debate, by the press, and the candidates are given clues as to what to prepare in their answers. They don't exactly know the text, but the content isn't new to the them. This debate's main topic was supposed to be foreign affairs. They couldn't, however, ignore the economy, considering what's happening in the country and worldwide, so that question had to be included too.

BTW, I listen to the Public Radio and watch the PBS and ABC news. I like their impratiality, the best. Of course, living in Canada, I follow the CBC also.

last night PBS and ABC made hay with "that one" and they both said that it'll cost McCain. They didn't excuse it as a "senior moment" because they said that McCain refers to Obama as "that one" at private Republican rallies. That tells me A LOT! :-/
