since I hate politics. Guess there's a 1st for everything...

Discussing the election with a cpla peeps and while I agree with Obama on a coupla/few things, I also believe if he's elected he's gonna die!

The only 2 presidents that had anything to do with slavery/segregation were both assassinated!

Him being half black would piss off the kkk and, well, youse know what they do!

Alex [yeah, he's only 13] doesn't want McCain elected cuz he'd keep the war goin for 10 more years and I've gotta agree with him there. I do NOT want either of my sons goin to war even tho I agree with the anti-terrorism thing, yanno?

Obama could be assasinated; just like any other president. Will it stop me from voting for him? No.

Change isn't four more years of the same crap we've lived with under Bush. Change is someone who has a plan and is smart enough to make it work. I think Obama is the best chance we have to repair the damage Bush has done to this country. I hope he wins by a landslide.

assassinate Obama. McCain could drop dead of oldness. But I don't think that means either shouldn't run for president. Fear should never be a reason not to stand up for your beliefs and try to right wrongs. Giving in to racists is not the way to go. If you feel you want to vote for Obama but his race, or fear of his race pissing off other people, stops you, that's not right. I hope you will vote based on which candidate YOU think is the best to lead the country. Of course, I think it is Obama LOL!

Are we that skeery?

If people let fear rule their votes, we never would have had John Kennedy (a CATHOLIC!!) elected. And we may not have had a woman as president yet, but just getting the vote took a lot of courage from both men & women to make a change.

I think this election will hopefully change a lot of people's views for the better.

And, I agree with LAwoman on who would be best to start that change!
