I have a good sense of humor, and this is not parody, it is slander.

parody - A literary or artistic work that imitates the characteristic style of an author or a work for comic effect or ridicule

slander - Communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation. A false and malicious statement or report about someone.

And I swore I wasn't going to get into these debates - I don't like generalizations, either - but it's not much different than my being unable to be a Christian or feel free to say "Merry Christmas" because I'm a (gasp!) liberal Democrat. Or that if "we" get into the White House, we'll have terrorists storming our shores and we'll all be poorer because we'll be taxed to death so the poor can mooch off us for the rest of their lives.

I thought it was a bit funny, but a big, huge generalization of the type that gets hackles raised, whichever way the slant goes.
