on a cover like the first one? I just looked at my last few months of Rolling Stone and haven't seen it yet.

Josie - I have to disagree with part of your post. I don't believe for a minute that the Republicans deserve all the credit for vitriol --- wasn't it Hillary who said, "he isn't Muslim.... that I KNOW OF". Once again, say anything, do anything to get elected.

As far as promoting the fear of all things Islamic that THIS ADMINISTRATION wants, I don't believe that to be true at all. There is plenty to fear, there is plenty of good. The solution: become informed and form your own opinion. I think you may have done that - and I don't mean that personally, but I see a difference between vigilance and fear. Blaming this administration for anything and everything is simply an echo of the media talking.

and, by the way, if I see one more picture of Obama with a halo, I will throw up.

I never said that the Reps were the only ones attacking - I said that it was what I heard from "many" vitriolic Republicans, which is the God's honest truth. I find what Hillary said abhorrant, and that kind of lowlife politicking is why I dreaded the thought of her on the ticket.

I have indeed educated myself and formed my own opinion, and based on the war- and fear-mongering that I have seen since 9/11/2001 from this administration, I DO believe that. The strategic elevation of "terror alerts", the predictions(/threats) during the last elections that if a Dem got into office that we'd all die from Islamic terrorist attacks on our land... the fact that peaceful Muslims (yes, there ARE more than a few out there) are subject to hate crimes and detention and distrust... That Saddam was the ultimate enemy of the US and must be immediately stopped, no matter the cost to the lives of American soldiers and their families - fear has been a constant tool of our government. And it's insidious.

and, by the way, if I see one more picture of Obama with a halo, I will throw up.
Heh heh heh - you're not the only one!!!

I am so very tired of hatred and division and political bigotry - on both sides... Now, in addition to being a hate mongering, war-lovin' ReTHUGlican I am also a racist - simply because I am not voting for St. Obama.

If I seem testy, well, that may be why.

I love constructive discussion... and it is very hard to come by these days. I have some opinions on your opinions (LOL) and will try to get back soon to discuss them, time is something I am short of these days.

As for the halo pics - God! How stupid do these people think we are??????
