Subject: "how our board came to be"

This is not really political, but apparently controversal so I figured I'd post it here.

I was not present for the death of the RT4 board, but I can't seem to get over the hate and meaness directed at Crystal and the old board at the start of this one.

Everytime I check in and see the "how our board came to be" link, I remember that this board is tainted by all the hate that seemed to start it and that Crystal is blocked from posting here (not that she likely would anyway).

Many times I come to post something and then opt not to, as I just don't know if I am comfortable here.

But since you weren't here, you have no idea what happened. That is probably a good thing since you weren't a target of her wrath as many were. She went nuts on her board and was banned because she was posting anonymously (she thought, because I had removed the IP's for a few minutes while doing some maintainence) and then wanted to continue her tirade here. I don't know if you saw the anonymous posts from her, (and yes Jenn, I'm sorry now that I deleted them because they really explained so much to those who don't know) but why did she feel she had to attack each and every one of us? First anonymously under 2 IP's that were banned and then under a pornographic cloaked IP, where she slipped and used her own name and continued. She went to her 14 year old son to have him tell her how to get that IP, might I add. She only went away after she slipped up and everyone started ignoring her. There is no excuse for the way she acted before or after this board was made. I had made it when I was helping her with the graphics in the beginning of her boards creation and it was still around so we came here. I never wanted to run a message board but here I am. I'm hoping it can pretty much run itself and everyone can get along like the grown ups we are supposed to be.

Every person is an asset to the board. I'd hate to see anyone leave and I wish the people that were driven away by those anon posts and ugliness would come back again. It was good to see so many of the old RT gang again.

Since people are throwing their 2 cents in, here's mine. Unsolicited. It is what it is.

Crystal, I think you took it all too far. I never had any beef with you. Heck, I still don't. I'm not out to hold onto ill will for people I don't even get the benefit of seeing. But really, enough already.

I think the names that Crystal was called were also too much. Do I understand the frustration that instigated such action? Absolutely. However, we are all ultimately responsible for our own behavior.

Mostly, I grew bored with the "WHY DID YOU BASH CWAC??" posts. And I was shocked at the content in many of the responses to her.

I've been happy to see so many old faces. I really have. I wish I had more time to keep up with all of these truly fantastic people.

When everyone wants the last word, it eventually just goes on and on. When something seeks attention and never gets it, eventually it seeks it elsewhere....

This is what I get for being painfully behind. I'm looking now and seeing that this thread is actually a bit old. Sorry I'm slow. Seems things have moved on, which is greatness. Last thing I want to do is keep it going. Just ignore me.
