Subject: Normally this wouldn't be in the political board

but is anyone else following the Roger Clemons hearings? The hearing yesterday was such a dog and pony show I couldn't even believe that these people represent us. I admit I was laughing that the consensus of WHO was lying was split totally among party lines.

For the record, I'm sure Clemons did steroids and it's not like I believe McNamee over him. First, I don't believe Andy Petit 'misheard' and second it's not believable that his wife would be taking HGH injections for so long and her husband not know about it! That's my own opinion of course. As to Petit I give kudos to him for telling the truth but I certainly wouldn't call him a HERO as they did!

It doesn't matter if he did or he didn't really, because these hearings will change nothing and I don't believe anything can ever be proven.

Thoughts?

Clemens and his posse are not going to admit to anything and there seems to be no physical evidence. I personally believe he used steroids, but what does it matter now if it can't be proven? Seems a huge waste of time to me. Stopping current use and preventing players from faking their way around current testing procdeures should be the focus.

Don't these people have anything better to do? I havent been able to see much, only replays at night - but I think our taxpayer $$$ could be better spent. I also don't think Congress should investigate the Patriots video tape incident. How about if they work on world peace... or welfare reform... or improving education or hundreds of other more vital problems????

I am in no way a steroid fan - but good Lord - look at professional wrestling! They drop dead right and left. Investigate them! Sheesh.

I can tell Barry Bonds used steroids by looking at him. I hope Roger Clemens is telling the truth... but it is getting ridiculous and seeing the political grandstanding is almost painful.
