Not in Hudson... where there's no such thing as "quiet" or "less-confrontational" unless you are referring to something that will probably later be found to have been ethically questionable at best, illegal at worst.

Hudson has a long history of double-crosses, especially within the Democratic Party. Sometimes the only way to be sure you can't be double-crossed is to make sure that the other party can't backpedal without getting himself really dirty in the process. And that means being as public as possible as early as possible. Nothing is more public than a primary.
