New growth, and very little else, the stallion thought to himself. The lush forests and verdant grasslands his dam had told him of in stories seemed to be just that-—tales of a long, bygone past. Easing his gait into a walk, the midnight-robed beast lowered his head to nip off a few snatches of grass, carefully observing the scene stretched before him. A few horses stood about, apparently alone, and the territory showed promise for revival. His tail lashed briefly from side to side as he surveyed the domain of his legendary past. One day, this would all be his. Name: Devereux (pronounced "DEV-er-row") Gender: Stallion Age: Adult Breed: A majestic cross of Arabian grace and Spanish power Appearance: Color is black palomino, also called smokey black or black buckskin. Build is elegant yet powerful, with fine features complemented by thick mane and tail and carved muscle. Personality: A slick, smooth talker, a bit of a ladies’ man. Polite and apparently amiable, but independent and stubborn at the core. Fairly ambitious and arrogant. History: Too important to give away so easily. But it is significant.
