大家在文化堂，會聽見老師反覆解說「生於憂患而死於安樂」、「戰戰兢兢，如臨深淵，如履薄冰」、「知難行易」、「路漫漫其修遠兮，吾將上下而求索」、「滿招損，謙受益」等等的以儒家思想為主導的人生觀，把它們用諸今天，仍使你十分受用。

對前景不樂觀，不等如認輸，不等如坐以待斃，而是設法令自己另創新天。只要不斷發展自己的強項，改善自己的弱項，你依然是朝著進步的方向走。縱使你不能在這人生長跑、事業長跑中奪桂，但我肯定你一定不會是在「包尾」的一群。

我「肉緊」的是，部分濟記同學並未能如閣下般自省，而仍沈迷於自己「曾」是Band 1仔的甜夢之中，以為這優勢可以永久保用，到將來面對現實所遇到的種種困難與阻滯，纔猛然醒覺：「為什麼我在中學階段時不好好裝備自己呢？」到那時，會不會是略遲了呢？

不要說剛畢業的同學承受工作的壓力，就是有十多二十年工作經驗的「事業有成」者也正在承受他們初出茅廬時所未曾預料的壓力。

從前，如你有四十年工作生命，首二十年至二十五年可能是你的「創業期」，後十五至二十年可能是你的「收成期」，可以坐下來輕輕鬆享受自己以前努力的成果，「工作較前輕鬆，人工較前豐厚」，但在今天，我們還可以這樣嗎？正如閣下所言，若有年青人的工作能力高你一倍，要求的待遇卻只是你的一半，你認為你還可以「印印腳」等退休嗎？

你可以再三感嘆：「我出道時不是這樣的！」但這句話，可以提高你的競爭力，可以助你轉危為安嗎？
