Scents came on the breeze alerting the wolf to others. She had moved areas only recently, due more to disgust at the weak pack she had shared the other area with. Paws padded quietly as the need for food over weighed the need to avoid any others until the female wolf knew these lands better. Ears came to an alert as her nose picked up two females and one male. Previous experience told her that it was better to scoot around until an actual need arose to present herself.

Though she rarely backed down from a challenge, right now hunger was more a riding force. Stealthy, she made her way towards another part of the woods, blue eyes searching for those prey that had been scared away from the other predators. Suddenly a rabbit poked its head up a few feet from her, nose sniffing, the wind blowing her scent away meant that she could sneak up on the virtually unaware animal, but with speed. Lean silver and black striped fur rippled over muscles that flexed smoothly. One minute she was lowered against the ground and the next she wiggled her body closer. One inch here, two inches there, ears flat as she snuck up closer to the animal. Suddenly a small rumble of noise picked up as one of the wolves must have been leaving, setting her into motion as the rabbit turned and started to run. Quickly she jumped the last 6 inches and luckily caught one of her paws onto the back of the animal. A small chomp and the spinal cord broke. The next strike was to the jugular, teeth ripping the small neck out as feasting on the flesh. Ears up fully as she kept an ear out to make sure that the leaving wolf was not coming towards her. A tiny meal to be sure, but every bit counted. Though it seemed these woods were full of creatures, confusing the female wolf a bit as she assumed the other wolves had been here for a while, since they seemed familiar enough to hunt around the others. A shrug of powerful shoulders as she went back to eating her snack.
