Okay – this is all new to me, and I apologize in advance for any confusion. Not everything has been explained to me, so to the best of my knowledge, here goes: Ms. Is for 25-55, single or previously married (with or without children). From what I have surmised, if you are not a “USA” look/perfect body, then I would recommend you do Ms. over Miss. If a contestant (or former state queen) wants to compete in either my Ms. or Mrs. Division, then they must apply and pay in full at least 30 days before our state pageant (BTW, our 2013 state pageant was scheduled BEFORE this year’s pageant, and before the new director for the other divisions established their state pageant date). However, with that said, any woman who plans on competing in the Miss Florida United States pageant and wants an opportunity to compete in my Ms. Florida Pageant, must pay in full 30 days before my state pageant. IF she wins Miss Florida United States, I will refund 100% of her money AND give her a free ticket (and VIP seating) at my state pageant 2 weeks later. Fair enough??? And BTW, we have the right to refuse anyone potential contestant entry … so if she was not a good queen (i.e. making appearances, promoting our pageant, etc.) she would not be invited or welcome back to compete. FYI – I my Selection Committee has rejected previous state queens based on their accomplishments (or lack thereof) to compete in another division. I keep it fair and honest!
