For the record, I checked w/the national director before accepting Katie's application to ensure she qualified.

Just to clarify, you don't have to be living in Florida to compete here - if you were born in Florida or attended school in Florida you can compete and represent Florida. As you can see by Katie's FB page, she is from Clermont (her family still lives in Florida - I believe in the Panhandle now).

The rules to enter my state pageant are that you have to be born in FL, attend(ed) school in Florida, or own property in FL (yes, even timeshares qualify with the United States Pageant system).

I'm assuming that the other contestant on this board who said she couldn't compete in her home state because she was attending school out-of-state was in a different pageant system. Each one is unique and has their own set of rules and guidelines.

Should anyone have any questions, please feel free to write me at flausap geants@yahoo.com for more information.

I wish each and every delegate at the 2012 national pageant all the best - and don't forget to enjoy the ride!

Warmest Regards, Pam
